Latornell Conservation Symposium

Tuesday, November 19 to Thursday, November 21, 2019

The Latornell Conservation Symposium is Ontario’s largest environmental conference, bringing over 600 environmental practitioners together for three days of workshops, presentations, awards, field trips, networking events and entertainment. Representatives from Indigenous communities, conservation authorities, environmental consulting companies, municipal and provincial governments, and not-for-profit organizations attend each year.

The theme of the conference this year is Currents of Change: Inspiring, creating, transforming. It explores how organizations and citizens are finding new ways to achieve their environmental goals under challenging conditions.

The Ontario Heritage Trust is part of the steering committee that plans this annual conference; the Trust's natural heritage staff attend each year. This year, the Trust’s manager of Acquisitions and Conservation Services, Kathy Hering, will be presenting on the Cheltenham Badlands Infrastructure Project.
