The Johnson Family Treasury: Understanding Lives through Recipes

In celebration of Heritage Week 2016 (February 15 to 21), visit Fulford Place to discover Ontario’s heritage through a series of free talks and a youth program.Dr. Nathalie Cooke will discuss The Johnson Family Treasury, a fascinating book of recipes and remedies collected in England in the 18th and 19th centuries, and recently discovered in Guelph. Dr. Cooke is Professor of English at McGill University, founding editor of Cuizine: The Journal of Canadian Food Cultures and editor of What’s to Eat? Entrées into Canadian Food History. Admission is free.
