Heritage Week at the Lincoln Museum & Cultural Centre

Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturday: 1 to 4 p.m.
For Heritage Week 2020, the Lincoln Museum & Cultural Centre is open for people of all ages to come and explore their collections and participate in a number of activities.
Highlights include:
- Visit with our costumed interpreter portraying Miss Agnes Welstead, a 1908 school mistress from the Jordan School House, built in 1859
- Drop in for your hygiene inspection, posture inspection, and a physical fitness drill (remember your handkerchief!)
- Write your name in pen and ink (right hand only!)
- Write on slate boards, participate in a spelling bee, and recite a “Memory Gem”
- Learn or “reminisce” about various methods of discipline that were used in a one-room schoolhouse (volunteers welcomed)
- Try your hand at a cup-and-ball game or spinning top
- View the three exhibits open now at the museum: The Wounded, Tale of a Town, and The Quiltmaker
