Join the Cobourg & East Northumberland Branch of the Architectural Conservancy Ontario for the annual strawberry social at Barnum House. Participate in a tasty strawberry tea and take a guided tour of this historical house.
Built in 1819, Barnum House remains one of Ontario’s finest examples of neoclassical architecture. Owned by the Ontario Heritage Trust, the house was extensively restored, with original paint colours and wallpaper reproduced to the time of its original owners, Eliakim and Hannah Barnum. The house was designated a National Historic Site in 1959. Today, it is the home of the Cobourg & East Northumberland Branch of the Architectural Conservancy Ontario.
