Raising Royalty – Talk and afternoon tea

Cost: $5 admission to the talk; $25 for admission with afternoon tea service (advance purchase required)

Join Carolyn Harris, author of Raising Royalty: 1,000 Years of Royal Parenting, for a fascinating look into the history of royal families. Enjoy an afternoon tea on the Fulford Place veranda as you explore how royal parents dealt with raising their children, from keeping Vikings at bay to fending off the paparazzi. Copies of the book will be available for purchase ($30 each).

Tickets to the talk can be purchased at Fulford Place in advance or at the door. Tickets for afternoon tea service must be purchased in advance. Space is limited, so secure your spot early!

Tools Through Time youth program and Antique Wheels in Motion demonstrations

Discover how tools and machines shaped farm life over the centuries. Presented in partnership with Antique Wheels in Motion, Tools Through Time explores the history of agricultural tools through demonstrations, crafts and activities for kids.

Antique Wheels in Motion will display a variety of collectibles at the Museum, including vintage washing machines, butter churns, woodworking tools and a 1940s tractor. Drop in to view the artifacts, meet the collectors and learn about upcoming events, including the 22nd Annual Harvest Days Demonstrations in August.

Fulford Place – a National Historic Site – is owned and operated by the Ontario Heritage Trust, an agency of the Government of Ontario dedicated to identifying, preserving, protecting and promoting Ontario's heritage.
