Hello Diana, I just spoke to you by phone and will give you some Info as to my Vocal Cord Injury. This Injury happened (2) yrs. ago at a Local Hospital. My Heart Rate was quite Low and Placed on Life Support. After Vocal Cord Injury in what is TERMED a 'Difficult Intubation' in the Hospital in trying 3X to place the Intubation Tube down my Throat. I have a few months ago Consulted with a ENT Dr. who did a Videoscopy to View my Larnyx, Vocal Cords and Vocal Folds. The ENT stated that on the Video it shows that Vocal Folds are Opening & Closing without any problems. Doctor Ruled out Vocal Cord Paralysis. The ENT Dr. stated that he would Refer me to a Speech Therapist to learn Vocal Cord Exercises to Strengthen the Vocal Cords. The Speech Therapist Appt's are by Video in Instructing me to Blow Bubbles in a Glass of Water.. I have only had a few Video Visits thus far.. Due to my Vocal Cord Injury caused by Hospital my Vocal Cords are Very Weak to even Speak and now have a Very Raspy, Husky or Hoarse 'Voice Quality'.. I am hoping you can Offer me further Guidance on how to Heal the Vocal Cords or Improve my Vocal Tone Quality is Not Sounding so Hoarse when I Speak. Please Update me once you have the time to Review my Submission.. Thank you. Kind Regards, Shirley Duvall
