Do you know members of your community who are helping to conserve Ontario’s heritage?

The Lieutenant Governor’s Ontario Heritage Awards recognize outstanding contributions made by groups or individuals to identify, preserve, protect and promote Ontario’s heritage. The awards criteria incorporate a broad range of heritage interests and activities including:

  • sustainability
  • biodiversity
  • cultural and natural heritage

Important dates

  • Summer – the Trust welcomes program enquiries
  • October 11 – all nomination forms and supporting materials are due
  • Fall – award recipients are selected
  • Winter – award recipients are notified
  • February – media announcement of award recipients, and awards presentation
  • Spring – nominations open for the next year

The Lieutenant Governor’s Ontario Heritage Awards, administered by the Ontario Heritage Trust, are prestigious awards that recognize exceptional contributions to heritage conservation, environmental sustainability and biodiversity, and cultural and natural heritage.
