Nearly 1,000,000 archaeological artifacts have been recovered and catalogued from the Trust's properties. They include material that dates from Ontario's prehistoric past to items from the 18th to 20th centuries. These important heritage items provide insight about the people who lived here before us.
The Trust has conducted archaeological research on most of its properties. Archaeology is promoted through on-site displays and educational programs. The Trust also produces publications that inform readers about archaeological findings across the province.
