If you are from a municipality and want to submit Ontario Heritage Act documents to the Provincial Heritage Registrar by email, please click the “Submit a request" button and you’ll be redirected to our email form.
Please include your name, organization/place of business (if applicable) and property information including municipal address and municipality. Also briefly describe what type of information you are searching – including, but not limited to:
- inquiring about whether a property is designated
- requesting copies of specific bylaws associated with a property
- requesting municipal or regional statistics
Information on real estate due diligence
If you are conducting a search as part of a real estate transaction due diligence and you require written confirmation on the heritage status of a property, please note that there is a $100 fee for each request. This fee provides you with a signed and dated letter from the Provincial Heritage Registrar and electronic and/or hard copies of all documents associated with the property in question.
